So, Justine made a request, and I told her you and I would discuss it.
[She goes back to the open counter, before bringing back a tea tray. There's a small thing of milk, sugar, as well as their two cups and tea pot she sets on the table.]
She asked you to pass along the request. You have some reservations. I'm not sure how I'd prevent her from keeping the petals, without excessive amounts of surveillance. You've proposed a compromise.
Do you think she should have roses back, or are you passing the request along because she asked you to, regardless of your own opinion?
[Jedao turns his teacup in his hands, humming thoughtfully. As Justine's warden, he happens to know just how complicated her feelings about her mother are. So that's interesting.]
Thank you. For your kindness to her, and for your judgement. I'll discuss it with her.
Then your kindness has not let her get away with anything.
Aerith...I have some idea how much strength it takes, to remain kind in the face of great pain. Please do not...diminish, or reprimand yourself for it.

What's the situation?

She wants to have roses back in her room.

Re: Around port; audio
She would need more than one or two roses to make any sort of rose oil- which I assume is part of the potion.
I would say...no demask roses. And no keeping the petals.
We could do an alternative and ask Hanna or someone else skilled with origami to make paper roses.

But- to let you know, the soap interest doesn't have to meddle with her aesthetic interest.
I'm mostly thinking...that it could be an excuse, if anyone finds out and tries to make a fuss.

Re: Around port; audio
She's told me that roses remind her of her mother- more than once. And as a person, I'd want to give her that comfort.
But also, she is someone you care for and are responsible for. I'm not going to undermine you. So this is what I'll say:
As a warden, I would say I'm not sure if I should right now. And as a gardener, I would also have to say roses don't last very long in a vase.

Re: Around port; audio
[Her smile is small, but it is genuine.]
Sometimes...it's hard to know if I've been really kind or just soft with her. But, I'll keep trying.
Re: Around port; audio
What would being too soft with someone look like? In your opinion.
Re: Around port; audio
At the very least.
Not the 'sneak a cookie' sort of wrong. Bigger ones.
Re: Around port; audio
Re: Around port; audio
Well...unless keeping the roses was soft and not practical long term...?
Re: Around port; audio
Re: Around port; audio
Maggie wanted to make sure we didn't have the correct roses, just in case but...another might have just taken out all of them. Just in case.

I would have known if something happened to any flower in the Greenhouse.

Re: Around port; audio
I'll try not to. Thank you Jedao.
I think, maybe, I just haven't had enough sleep lately. That's all.
Re: Around port; audio
I'll talk to her about the flowers. You get some rest.
Re: Around port; audio
Thanks for meeting up with me about this. I'll go...take a nap or something
