[But he's laughing.]

"Yes, ma'am," he says smartly, still laughing, as he grabs his boots. "Getting big, he said?"

He did! And I intend on seeing it!

I'm sure he'll be absolutely majestic. Should I give you some alone time once I've escorted you off the barge boundaries?

But Fitz and I are going to make up terrible stories about the people who might have been here, so I may stay longer.

"Call John if there's anything strange, and listen to Ethan about return protocols, okay?" he tells her, as he arrives on deck.

She attacks him in a hug when she sees him.

"I will be safe!"

He picks her up, spins her a little.

"Your escort, my lady."

"Who taught you such manners?" she giggles. "Certainly this is not my roguish warden!"

"Oh! And this is what I get for running to your call!" he squawks.

She nuzzles against him, then pushes away to be on her feet. "And you did so quite happily. Now! We should see what is here."

He takes her arm and - lightly, in the slightly fuzzy way of the Barge's variable borders, step off onto the station.

She immediately lets go once they're onboard and rushes forward, trying to take in everything at once. "Jedao! Is this a station like you lived in?"

"A bit different in style, but in the fundamentals, yes."

She hums a little, then pauses. "Will you be alright?" she asks and it's quiet, more subdued.

"I'll be fine, darling," he promises, and gives her a little kiss on the forehead.

The only thing she can do is trust him, so she squeezes his hand again. "Well. If you find yourself in peril, call me and I will come straight to you!"
