"As a celebration deserves," Jedao says, grinning. The aroma as he pours a shot or two for each of them is tangy and sharp, but more mellow than a citrus, with sweet and nutty tones as well.
He picks up a glass and hands the other to Jedao once they're filled and he breathes in the scent with a smile. It's new and it's different and he's very pleased with the choice.
Iago gives the drink a taste and smiles as he's actually able to enjoy it.
Something new!
"Oh did you? Well. CK wrote me a letter. Hanna was supposed to give it to me after CK was gone but...chose not to. You don't get details, but it was very romantic."
"We felt each other out enough to share that both of you were dead wrong about the other not caring, and that we should figure out how to help you reconcile, but I promise I didn't give him any details of the romantic things you said either," Jedao tells him.
"I trust you," he says casually but the look he give Jedao over the top of his cup is anything but. He isn't Shous, but he's been doing enough research to realize what that means. And for Jedao to know, in turn, the sacrifice it requires.
He doesn't mind that he talked to Hanna; he gave his blessing for it. Jedao knew what he felt.
And he's - happy. Talking with CK is a pain, but a necessary one. And now Iago is...calmed.
Jedao hums, running his fingers through Iago's hair now.
"Because...you were both truly hurt. You must have put hope and affection above the urge to hurt back, to be vindictive and safe and invulnerable. That's a difficult and brave thing for anyone to do, and even moreso when you've rarely or never had that choice rewarded before. So I'm proud."
He pulls back and takes another drink, enjoying the taste of it even more now. "Thank you, tesoro. Now. tell me about your gossip. It's been quite busy."
