Mixed, but I'm hoping I can wrangle a friend out of it. And even the painful parts were...easy to understand, easy to leave in that life.

The breach was great. …Which isn’t what anyone wants to hear about a breach. But. I found it a lot easier to adjust from because I wasn’t… my normal anatomy except not broken. It was an easier adjustment for Will, too, because he was a wolf there and can be one here. …Mixed apart from the breach, though.

I listen a lot before I talk. I ask a lot of...neutrally framed questions.

If breaches make them feel violated, I can empathize with that. They probably don't want to hear about how grateful I am, and that's okay.

It tapered off. Edwin was alright. The situation mostly resolved.

And then a lot of other very intense personal shit happened and I didn't have emotional space to keep being angry about it, unless I wanted to shift it into long-term grudge storage, and that seemed - disproportionate and unhelpful. So it got jettisoned somewhere in there.

Edwin and I talked about what happened. We came to an explicit understanding so it won't happen again. We're friends. If that... makes it feel.... more fully resolved.

If that's true, he'll probably never say so to me.

My breach? I was an adder that traveled with wolves and fought pirates. Will was a wolf and we were good friends. Outsiders that found common ground together. So... that part was a little on the nose, but in a good way.

I was a bird. With the pirates, in fact. It wasn't a happy life, but I loved flying.
